The Life of an Egg

"In every child who is born, under no matter what circumstances, and of no matter what parents, the potentiality of the human race is born again." -J.Agee

Location: Los Angeles, California

I am addicted to Flamin Hot Cheetos, goat cheese, rainbow sherbet, and hummus. I want to meet Paul Farmer. I can't touch library books because they smell. I have a tattoo of the tree of life on my back. I have a problem with picking at my nails when I'm nervous, stressed out, or bored. I am irrationally proud of being from California. One of my main goals in life is to be a good person. And finally, please don't ask for medical advice, especially if it involves any sort of discharge.

Since Being A Wife

I have so much to update, it's overwhelming. I don't have any of the professional wedding pictures yet so I will recap all of that at another time...

Since being back to Chicago, we have hardly spent any time at home.
The first weekend back, we flew to Boston for my friend's wedding.
The second weekend back, we drove to Milwaukee for my _husband_'s friend's 30th birthday party.
The third weekend back, is the only weekend we've been at home so far; and we had a friend from Minneapolis visiting.
The fourth weekend back, we flew/drove to Hastings, Nebraska because the hubby's grandfather was really sick... he passed away this morning. Sad. but at least painless and relatively quick. I'm really glad we had some time with him when he was awake and alert.
This coming weekend, we're flying to San Diego for another wedding.

Sigh. So that's the explanation for the long silences... I'm currently back in the ICU so life sucks in theory. It's only been 2 days and surprisingly, I haven't been TOO pained yet. But don't worry. I'm on call this Thursday so I'm sure everything will change.
