The Life of an Egg

"In every child who is born, under no matter what circumstances, and of no matter what parents, the potentiality of the human race is born again." -J.Agee

Name:
Location: Los Angeles, California

I am addicted to Flamin Hot Cheetos, goat cheese, rainbow sherbet, and hummus. I want to meet Paul Farmer. I can't touch library books because they smell. I have a tattoo of the tree of life on my back. I have a problem with picking at my nails when I'm nervous, stressed out, or bored. I am irrationally proud of being from California. One of my main goals in life is to be a good person. And finally, please don't ask for medical advice, especially if it involves any sort of discharge.

Disasters

You may have heard about the moderate-sized earthquake that hit Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 29th. There's a scary CNN article here. They have been saying for years that The Big One is going to hit soon. They've been saying this since 1994, when we had the last Big One. But it's still scary.

I've been thinking... is it really worth it? To live in a place that has earthquakes, and the potential to literally separate and fall off from the rest of the continental U.S.? Well, if I could trade a chance of having medium-sized earthquake every few years that lasts about 20 seconds, over BAD WEATHER ALMOST EVERY SINGLE DAY like we have here in Chicago, then YES. It's still worth it to me.

Not saying I'm not scared, but it's definitely a trade-off I'm willing to take.
