The Life of an Egg

"In every child who is born, under no matter what circumstances, and of no matter what parents, the potentiality of the human race is born again." -J.Agee

Location: Los Angeles, California

I am addicted to Flamin Hot Cheetos, goat cheese, rainbow sherbet, and hummus. I want to meet Paul Farmer. I can't touch library books because they smell. I have a tattoo of the tree of life on my back. I have a problem with picking at my nails when I'm nervous, stressed out, or bored. I am irrationally proud of being from California. One of my main goals in life is to be a good person. And finally, please don't ask for medical advice, especially if it involves any sort of discharge.

thoughts... because i'm too tired to form sentences

i'm still reeling from the aftermath of being in the NICU last month and now taking care of heme/onc patients mostly by myself.

1. next saturday, i'm going home to california.

2. for my next vacation in april, i'm planning to LEAVE THE COUNTRY. it's been too long.

3. a couple weeks ago, i called 911 because i saw a man waving a gun around right off Lake Shore Drive and... no one picked up!

4. i just watched "Friends with Money." i loved it. not quite as good as "Lovely and Amazing" however.

5. it's sad when friends move away...

6. i'm devastated that i scheduled my vacation during the Chicago International Film Festival this year and will thus, be out of town for almost the entire thing. :(

7. now that i'm getting a regular paycheck, i think i'll donate to my alma mater.

8. babies are beautiful. i saw my cousin's new baby today. he has the chubbiest cheeks i've seen in a long time.

9. i hate that it's getting so cold here... and i hear that it's going to be a bad winter.

10. i can't wait for Halloween! (usually i can't stand the idea of adults who love Halloween but my program director whom i worship, is a huge Halloween fan, and thus, i might be coming around)

I found your site because I have been looking for information about PFAPA. My son has it. Don't worry, I do not carry around a notebook documenting every episode. It is funny though. Just wanted to let you know, I think it is admirable that you work in pediatrics. I have three children. My newest addition is a 5 month old baby girl, she sent her first 7 weeks in the NICU. If not for those nurses, I may not have survived. So-thanks, eventhough I don't know you. Gwen
