I am addicted to Flamin Hot Cheetos, goat cheese, rainbow sherbet, and hummus. I want to meet Paul Farmer. I can't touch library books because they smell. I have a tattoo of the tree of life on my back. I have a problem with picking at my nails when I'm nervous, stressed out, or bored. I am irrationally proud of being from California. One of my main goals in life is to be a good person. And finally, please don't ask for medical advice, especially if it involves any sort of discharge.

Christmas 2007

I signed up to work through Christmas again this year because I love being with my family on New Years Day for the traditional korean celebration. I lucked out and was able to get Christmas Day off so we went to Homewood early to hang out with Armand's parents and their family friends.
We had several wonderful meals, lots of fancy wine and champagne, and desserts that were addictive. Here is the cookie platter... this year, Erin only had time to make 8 different varieties of cookies, compared to her usual 12. So we were all disappointed. *sarcasm* My favorite were the pecan tarts and the home-made turtle chocolates.

I got some really nice presents! My favorites so far are the Hive game and a pearl necklace that Armand's mom gave me. Can't wait to wear it!

Today was our last day in the NICU. I can't believe how fast this month has gone by... it's been painful, but not nearly as painful as I imagined. I should be more excited but I'm starting at the "outside hospital" on Wednesday, which makes me sad.

The good news is that I have the next 4 days off so I'm flying home tonight. Hopefully this snow won't get in the way! Happy new year everyone!
