I am addicted to Flamin Hot Cheetos, goat cheese, rainbow sherbet, and hummus. I want to meet Paul Farmer. I can't touch library books because they smell. I have a tattoo of the tree of life on my back. I have a problem with picking at my nails when I'm nervous, stressed out, or bored. I am irrationally proud of being from California. One of my main goals in life is to be a good person. And finally, please don't ask for medical advice, especially if it involves any sort of discharge.

as predicted

not to belittle any of the President's accomplishments thus far, but a little part of me laughed when i saw this article entitled "Clinton's mockery of Obama proves true." It's easy to sell hope from a distance, but not so easy in reality, to unite political divisions that have been present since the beginning of our country. i think someone is just starting to learn this.

I think you (and many others) miss the point about Obama and his new brand of politics. It would be ludicrous to believe that Obama's presidency would get legislators to hold hands and sing Kumbaya around a camp fire. I don't believe anyone w/even an inkling of credibility suggested that during his campaign, nor is anyone suggesting that now. The point is, Obama is doing a 180 on the way the Bush administration has run government: literally scoffing at the international community, playing the fear/patriotism card, unapologetically shrouding everything with a veil of secrecy and arrogance... Obama has promised to listen to all sides - not to agree w/them, or force or shame others to agree w/him. I think you just resent that Hillary lost - perhaps it's important to keep in mind that no one was saying that Hillary wasn't qualified for the job and that Obama's win doesn't take away from Hillary's efforts, achievements, and future service to this country.
